The Top 10 Programming Languages 2019

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has recently published a list of the top programming languages of 2019, taking into consideration factors such as number of GitHub repositories, StackOverflow questions count, and overall popularity among develoepers.

Occupying the first position is Python programming language, which doesn't come as a surprise considering its ease of use and overall beginner-friendly nature as well as its capabilities in the fields of Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

The second spot was grabbed by Java, the primary programming language for the Android operating system. Java's position is strongly influenced by the existence of the Android mobile operating system. The sheer number of questions based on Android programming alone proves its ranking was well deserved. By and large, Java is very popular in modern computing.
